- Stevie Nicks was born in Phoenix in 1948 and moved to San Mateo, Calif., in 1964 with her mother and father.
- Her grandfather made her a guitar and taught her to play, she gigged at local venues by 5-years old.
- During her late highschool and early adult years she played with many unnoticed bands and musicians while working side jobs, like cleaning, and waitressing
- In 1975, Stevie Nicks and her guitarist partner (Lindsay Buckingham) signed to a struggling band named Fleetwood Mac where they started writing and releasing songs about their tumultuous relationship.
- Nick’s first songs “Rhiannon” and “Landslide” as the lead singer of Fleetwood Mac kick started her career.
- After a record breaking career with Fleetwood Mac, in 1981 Stevie Nicks went solo, still reuniting with the band on occasion
- In 1998, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
